Civil rights leader. Fighting for all of us.
Meet Ali Aljarrah
Ali Aljarrah is a civil rights leader and policy advocate for working-class New Jerseyans. As senior adviser at CAIR Action NJ, he has helped win some of the biggest policy fights in the state over the last few years, protecting First Amendment rights, enshrining immigrant protections into state law, and fighting for legislation to make polluters pay for damages from climate change.
Born and raised in Passaic County to Iraqi immigrant parents, Ali learned the importance of giving back at a young age, and he's dedicated his life to fighting for families like his. His work spans policy advocacy and sustainability, from securing climate resilience funding for communities across the country to helping families and small businesses lower their energy bills.
Now he's running for Passaic County Commissioner to build more affordable homes and protect renters, fix dangerous roads and connect our communities, expand food assistance and improve social services, and protect our rights and stand up to the Trump administration.
